LOS ANGELES – California state Sen. Ronald S. Calderon appeared – in shackles and shirtsleeves – in a federal courtroom Monday to enter a not-guilty plea to the plethora of charges against him.The senator faces up to 400 years of imprisonment if convicted of the 24 crimes he is accused of, including bribery, money laundering, wire fraud and filing a false tax return.
