A Missouri lawmaker is making another run at a bill that would allow electronic payment of workers’ compensation benefits.
House Bill 353, by Rep. Mike Henderson, R-Bonne Terre, was read for the first time when the General Assembly kicked off the 2021 session Wednesday.
Current law allows payment of temporary total disability benefits and temporary partial disability benefits by check or other negotiable instruments. HB 353 would allow paying temporary disability benefits “by electronic transfer or other manner authorized by the claimant.”
