California lawmakers voted to send Gov. Gavin Newsom bills that aim to help the state recover costs of claims filed against illegally uninsured employers and provide full-pay salary continuation benefits to local park rangers in Sacramento.
The Assembly on Aug. 28 voted 74-0 to pass SB 847, by Sen. Eloise Reyes, D-San Bernardino, which would allow the Department of Industrial Relations to attach a lien to property that an illegally uninsured employer tried to hide after a workplace accident.
