A bill that would require adoption of a medical fee schedule is on its way to a vote by the full Virginia state Senate after receiving unanimous approval by a committee on Monday.
The Senate Labor and Commerce Committee voted 15-0 to approve Senate Bill 631 by Sen. Frank W. Wagner, R-Virginia Beach. The measure directs the Workers' Compensation Commission to adopt a fee schedule for both physician and hospital services by Jan. 1, 2018 after consulting with an advisory panel.
