MedRisk Announces Executive Leadership Moves

MedRisk on Friday announced that Mike Ryan was named executive chairman, and Ken Martino was promoted to CEO and president of the King of Prussia, Pennsylvania-based managed care organization.

Martino is also now a member of MedRisk’s board of directors.

Martino has held senior executive positions with leading third-party administrators and insurers for over 35 years. He has been involved in many aspects of the industry, including philanthropic endeavors that include more than 10 years serving on the board of directors for Kids’ Chance of America before being elected as its president for 2020-21.

Ryan will continue to be actively engaged in the company, developing relationships with customers and providers in the workers’ compensation industry, MedRisk said.

Ryan joined MedRisk in 2011 to develop and implement growth strategies, was promoted to president two years later and became CEO and president in 2017. Ryan named Martino president in 2019 while retaining CEO responsibilities.

MedRisk said it experienced significant growth under Ryan’s leadership and now serves 95% of the nation’s top insurers and third-party administrators in the workers’ compensation industry.
