The Commissioner of the Labor Services Division intends to amend Chapter 4, “Recording and Reporting Occupational Injuries and Illnesses,” of the Iowa Administrative Code.
According to the Oct. 15 edition of the Iowa Administrative Bulletin, the proposed amendment will adopt, by reference, changes to federal occupational safety and health regulations governing record keeping and reporting. The federal changes will update the list of industries to be exempt from record-keeping requirements due to low illness and occupational injury rates.
