California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed an executive order fast-tracking revised COVID-19 workplace safety rules that significantly reduce requirements for fully vaccinated workers.
Revised rules the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board adopted June 17 say fully vaccinated workers don’t need to be tested or go into quarantine after contacting someone with COVID-19 unless those workers have symptoms of the disease.
The rules also eliminate face covering requirements outdoors except during outbreaks and allow employers to let vaccinated workers forgo masks entirely.
