BWC Transitional Work Program Increases Grants for Employers

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation last week announced that it is increasing grants employers can use to get injured workers back to work as quickly as possible. Transitional work grants are based on the number of employees. Grants that used to range from $2,900 to $6,300 now range from $3,700 to $8,200. Effective July 1, the maximum grant for businesses with 11-49 workers is $3,700; for businesses with 50-199 workers, the maximum grant is $6,800; and for businesses with 200 or more workers, the maximum grant is $8,200.
