The California Department of Insurance will hold a public hearing at 10 a.m. June 7 to take testimony on the proposed Sept. 1 advisory pure premium rate.
The Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau in May submitted its annual filing, recommending that the department increase the advisory rate to $1.50 per $100 of payroll.
The recommended rate would be a 3.4% increase over the rate of $1.45 approved for policies incepting on or after Jan. 1.
