Governor Approves Lump Sum Settlement Bill

Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo signed a bill reinstating a statute allowing injured workers with a permanent partial disability of 30% or less to choose a lump sum payment. Lombardo on March 23 enacted Assembly Bill 165, by Assemblywoman Sandra Jauregui, D-Las Vegas, after the measure was unanimously passed by both chambers of the Legislature earlier in the month.
