Minnesota Gov.-elect Mark Dayton (D) announced the appointment Wednesday of Ken Peterson to head the Department of Labor and Industry, which includes the Workers' Compensation Division.Peterson served the last Democratic-Farm-Labor Party governor, Rudy Perpich, in the same position from 1988 to 1991.Peterson succeeds Commissioner Steve Sviggum, who was appointed last month by Gov.
