Insurers, health care providers and pharmacy benefits managers now have six months to learn the intricacies of New York state's new drug formulary, after the board gave final approval to what's been called one of the most complicated formularies in the nation.
After two years of public comments, hearings and multiple revisions, the board this week published notice of adoption of the final version of the formulary. The three-phase formulary, which has different drug restrictions for different types of injuries, took effect Wednesday.
