Maximum weekly workers’ compensation benefits will increase 3.59% on July 1 to match the increase in the state’s average weekly wage, according to the West Virginia Offices of the Insurance Commissioner.
The maximum weekly benefit for temporary total disability, permanent total disability and fatalities will be $917.08 for the fiscal year that starts in July, up from $885.32 for the current fiscal year. The minimum benefit rate remains $193.33.
TTD, PTD and death benefits are all equal to 100% of the state’s average weekly wage.
