A Louisiana appellate court ruled that a school district employee could not maintain a tort action against a colleague and their employer for injuries from a car accident that happened as she was leaving work. Case: Jones v. Rogers, No. 23-125, 11/15/2023, published. Facts: Lucille Jones worked as a teacher's aide at Westgate High School. On the afternoon of May 2, 2018, Jones was in the left exit lane of the Westgate driveway as Jimmy Rogers was driving a school bus in the right loading lane.
