Connecticut investigators arrested a retired police officer on fraud charges Monday, alleging that he collected $34,000 in workers' compensation benefits for a knee injury he sustained while he was off work.
The Workers' Compensation Fraud Control Unit of the Chief State’s Attorney filed the charges against former Meriden police officer Leighton Gibbs, 54.
