The Washington state Department of Labor & Industries said it fined a fitness center in Yakima $9,639 for exposing workers to COVID-19 by opening for business when it should have been closed.
L&I said Anytime Fitness in Selah was open June 15. The gym is in Yakima County, which remains in the first phase of the four-phase reopening plane. Gyms are not allowed to open in the most restrictive phase of the state’s plan, according to L&I.
