The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division announced that attorney fees are increasing 6.427% on July 1 to match an increase in the state’s average weekly wage.
The maximum attorney fee that can be awarded when a carrier or self-insured employer unreasonably delays or refuses to pay compensation, absent a showing of extraordinary circumstances, will increase to $6,357 from $5,973.
The maximum attorney fee that can be awarded when an injured worker prevails in fighting a responsibility denial will increase to $4,585 from $4,308.
