Construction Subcontractor Cited for Willful Violation for Lack of Fall Protection

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited a Jacksonville, Florida-based roofing company for one willful and two serious violations, the agency announced in a release. Transformers Construction Services Inc. was issued proposed penalties of $79,900 after an inspection at a construction site in St. Johns. The agency issued the willful violation for allowing employees to conduct roofing work without fall protection at heights of up to 16 feet.
