WCB to Require Electronic Submission of CMS-1500 Form

The New York State Workers’ Compensation Board said part of its ongoing modernization initiatives will require health care providers to contract with an electronic submission partner to submit the CMS-1500 universal medical billing forms electronically on their behalf, beginning in 2025. The CMS-1500 electronic submission requirement for providers will become mandatory on Aug. 1, 2025.
