NHL Hit With Concussion Class Action in Federal Court in Manhattan

Nine former professional hockey players filed suit last week against the National Hockey League for allegedly failing to warn them about the devastating long-term negative health effects they could suffer from concussions.The case, LaCouture v. National Hockey League, No. 14-2531, was filed last Wednesday in a federal court in Manhattan.Named plaintiffs include Dan LaCouture, a former player for the Edmonton Oilers; Dan Keczmer, a defenseman who played for the Dallas Stars and the Nashville Predators; and Jack Carlson, a forward who played for the St. Louis Blues and the Minnesota North Stars....
