Hartford Financial Services Group (The Hartford), one of the nation's largest workers' compensation insurers, posted net income of $293 million for an increase of 60 cents per share in the third quarter of 2013, a significant boost from the net income of $13 million and 1 cent per share increase it posted for the third quarter of 2012.
