The maximum weekly benefits paid to injured workers and those who are unemployed will increase starting Sunday, Iowa Workforce Development says.
The increase in benefits results from rising wages covered by unemployment insurance, with the average annual wage for insured Iowa workers up to $44,723 in 2016, compared to $43,878 the previous year.
