Texas Insurance Commissioner Kent Sullivan, in office for almost three years, is stepping down next month, the Department of Insurance said Tuesday.
The department's announcement did not indicate what Sullivan plans, only that he will return to the private practice. Before being named to the commissioner position in 2017, Sullivan worked as a practicing attorney, a state appeals court judge, a district court judge and an assistant attorney general.
