Postal Worker Charged With Fraud Over Fake Travel Reimbursements

A Louisiana postal worker was charged with making false statements for allegedly submitting travel reimbursements for trips that were never taken in connection with a workers' comp claim, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana said. Lexy Lopez-Bateman of Slidell suffered an on-the-job injury in 2015 and was entitled to the cost of travel to and from medical appointments.
