Hearings on two workers' compensation bills will be held next week in the Maryland Senate's finance committee.
The bills both passed in the House last week.
House Bill 1484, by Delegate Cheryl Glenn, D-Baltimore, establishes a 12-month time limit for a medical service provider to bill an employer or its insurer. The provider must submit a bill within 12 months from the date the claim was accepted, the date the medical service was provided or the date the claim was deemed compensable, whichever comes later.
