Insurers around the country have been asked to relax premium deadlines for policyholders. But in South Carolina, stakeholders will soon face penalties if they don't file required reports on time.
The state Workers' Compensation Commission posted an advisory notice Tuesday that it is reactivating assessment of fines and penalties beginning next month.
“All required reports and forms not filed by their respective due date on or after May 1, 2020, will be subject to the assessment of fines and penalties authorized by statute or regulation,” the commission said.
