The Division of Workers’ Compensation has not done enough to attract and retain qualified medical evaluators; failed to continuously review the quality of medical-legal reports; and inappropriately used the reappointment process to discipline providers for alleged violations, California Auditor Elaine Howle said in a long-awaited report released Tuesday.
