Hawaii lawmakers have introduced bills to expand the types of workers covered by presumptions of compensability and to expand the list of conditions that are presumed to have arisen out of employment.
House Bill 1673, by Rep. Scot Z. Matayoshi, D-Kaneohe, would add solid waste workers to the firefighter cancer presumption.
