Forklift Hits Worker; OSHA Cites Company

A Schenectady recycling plant has been cited by OSHA after a worker was hit by a forklift, suffering a compound leg fracture. Tomra NY Recycling LLC faces proposed fines of $84,000 following the May 14 incident. OSHA cited the company on Nov. 6 for one willful and two serious violations. According to OSHA, the worker was operating a baler when a forklift hit him while trying to pass.
