Maximum weekly workers' compensation benefits in Pennsylvania for 2016 increased 2.9% to $978 due to an increase in the state's average weekly wage, the Department of Labor & Industry announced last week.
The maximum benefit was $951 for dates of injury in 2015 and $932 for dates of injury in 2014.
Pennsylvania claimants are generally paid two-thirds of their weekly wage when recovering from workplace injuries, up to the $978 maximum. But the wage-replacement percentage increases for injured workers who earn less.
