The Louisiana Supreme Court last week suspended a veteran attorney with a history of disciplinary actions for a period of one year and one day.
The court said Donald Dobbins’ misconduct would typically warrant a two-year bar from the practice of law, but given the delay in the initiation of the proceedings against him, it decided to shorten the suspension.
