Providers treating injured workers in Hawaii will be allowed to submit treatment plans by fax or email under a bill the governor signed into law.

The bill allows doctors to send treatment plans electronically if the employer accepts electronic submissions. Employers will be required to accept electronic submissions starting Jan. 1, 2021.
