Governor Approves Bill Allowing Electronic Submission of Treatment Plans

Providers treating injured workers in Hawaii will be allowed to submit treatment plans by fax or email under a bill the governor signed into law. Gov. David Ige on June 21 signed House Bill 2017, by Rep. Mark Nakashima, D-Hamakua. The bill allows doctors to send treatment plans electronically if the employer accepts electronic submissions.
