Workers’ comp premium renewal rates fell more last year than in 2017, with the exception of December, according to the Ivans Index.
Workers’ comp renewal rates fell 2.66% last month, compared to a 2.92% decrease in December 2017, Ivans reported.
The Ivans Index measures the premium difference year-over-year for a single consistent policy. It includes data from 32,000 agencies, and 380 insurers and managing general agents.
For the fourth quarter, the workers’ compensation premium renewal rate fell 3.04% on average, compared to the third quarter decrease of 2.76%.
