Ivans: Work Comp Rate Decreases Last Year Mostly Exceeded 2017

Workers’ comp premium renewal rates fell more last year than in 2017, with the exception of December, according to the Ivans Index. Workers’ comp renewal rates fell 2.66% last month, compared to a 2.92% decrease in December 2017, Ivans reported. The Ivans Index measures the premium difference year-over-year for a single consistent policy. It includes data from 32,000 agencies, and 380 insurers and managing general agents.
