A California Senate committee unanimously passed bills that would give some fire and rescue workers in San Diego the same presumptions as other first responders and allow carriers to continue using prepaid debit cards to pay benefits to injured workers.
The Senate Committee on Labor and Public Employment and Retirement on Wednesday voted 5-0 to pass AB 699 and AB 489.
