Report: Lawmakers Trying to Rein in Gov. Newsom After Executive Order

Some California legislators said Gov. Gavin Newsom has overstepped his authority after several recent actions, including issuing an executive order creating a COVID-19 presumption, according to a news report from Sacramento. According to NBC affiliate KCRA, Assemblyman Kevin Kiley, R-Roseville, has introduced a resolution to limit the governor’s emergency powers.
