Injury Incident Rate Drops Below National Average in 2013

The overall rate of occupational injuries and illnesses in Utah dropped to 3.4 incidents per 100 workers in 2013, compared to 3.5 incidents per 100 workers in 2012, according to the state Labor Commission. Data from the U.S. Department of Labor shows a lower rate of occupational injuries in Utah compared to the national average of 3.5 cases per 100 workers.
