A former Southern California hospital worker who now resides in Texas was sentenced to 60 days in jail for filing a false workers’ compensation claim.
Ventura County District Attorney Gregory D. Totten on March 6 announced that Michelle Cordero, of Nocona, Texas, was sentenced to two months in jail and ordered to pay $26,089 in restitution.
Cordero in July 2015 filed a claim for a shoulder injury that she said happened while moving a shelf for Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura.
