A claimant caught working as an Elvis tribute artist and a man whose boss spotted him running with his crutches were among about 40 people arrested or convicted of insurance fraud in Pennsylvania in the past several months, according to the quarterly newsletter of the state Fraud Prevention Authority.
James J. Felix of Pittsburgh pleaded no contest to three counts of insurance fraud on Sept. 14, according to the the authority's Pennsylvania Fraud Stories. He was sentenced to 12 months' probation and ordered to pay court costs of $1,507.20.
