The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration is delaying implementation of a rule requiring certain businesses to electronically submit their worker injury data starting July 1.
The rule would make the injury information available to the public, in a move OSHA has said would “nudge” employers to focus on safety.
“As we have seen in many examples, more attention to safety will save the lives and limbs of many workers, and will ultimately help the employer’s bottom line as well,” the agency said on its website.
