DWC Holds Carrier Meeting, Doctor Webinar Wednesday

The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation on Wednesday will hold its quarterly insurance carrier meeting.

The meeting, which will cover a range of regulatory and legislative issues, will feature information from eight top officials at the DWC, including Matt Zurek, deputy commissioner for safety and health; Graves Owen, medical adviser; Mary Landrum, director of health care business management; and Nick Canady, general counsel.

The meeting starts at 1:30 p.m. at the DWC offices.

Also Wednesday, the DWC will host the second installment of its webinar on designated doctor case information. The noon event will cover maximum medical improvement and impairment ratings. The webinar provides continuing education credits for physicians, and registration is available here.
