Number of Covered Workers Increases Again in 2018

The number of employees covered by workers’ compensation increased for a fourth straight year in Oregon, according to data released by the Department of Consumer and Business Services. Preliminary estimates for 2018 show 1.936 million covered workers, about 2% more than the 1.899 million workers covered in 2017. The number of covered workers has increased each year since at least 2014, the earliest year included in data released Wednesday.
