DWC Proposes Rule Amendment to Define Teledentistry Dental Service

The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation has proposed an amendment to Rule 133.30 to define the term “teledentistry dental service and to require dentists to bill for teledentistry services according to applicable Medicaid payment policies. Rule 133.30, which has been in effect since May 6, 2018, sets billing requirements when a health care provider renders telemedicine and telehealth services.
