A group of Alabama attorneys who spent the better part of 2018 hashing out changes to the state's imperiled workers' compensation system may have thought they were being as inclusive as they could be in the effort.
The Bar Association task force, formed to craft a plan to rescue the system from a court's likely declaration that the state's meager benefits were unconstitutional, had as many insurance defense lawyers involved as claimants' lawyers, members said.
