Rule Change Sets Medical Fee Dispute Parameters

The Missouri Division of Workers’ Compensation has adopted a rule change based on legislation that governs the handling of medical fee disputes between an employer and a health care provider.The new rule stipulates that an administrative law judge may deny an application for payment of additional reimbursement of medical fees without an evidentiary hearing if the judge issues an award on undisputed facts.
