The California Senate on Wednesday gave final approval to a bill that would crack down on lien filers and prohibit utilization review for certain treatments provided by medical provider network doctors within the first 30 days of an injury.
A day earlier, the Legislature signed off on a bill that would require the Division of Workers’ Compensation to suspend providers who are convicted of health care fraud or harming patients.
