New Benefit Rates Announced Based on AWW of $1,052

The Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission has released the 2017 rates for maximum death and disability benefits. For temporary total disability, the award is two-thirds of the employee’s average weekly wage, not to exceed 100% of the state’s average weekly wage of $1,052. For permanent total disability, the award is two-thirds of the employee’s average weekly wage, not to exceed 100% of the state AWW.
