Deloitte: Self-Driving Vehicles Could Cut Comp Premiums by $3B

Advancements in self-driving technology could eliminate the need for hundreds of thousands of long-haul truckers over the next five years and eliminate several billion dollars in workers’ compensation premiums, according to an analysis by consulting firm Deloitte. Deloitte said widespread adoption of autonomous vehicles could result in a shift in premiums across multiple lines of insurance.
