Judge Allows some Greenlight Re Claims against AUI to Proceed

By David Dankwa, Senior ReporterA federal judge in New York has allowed a number of the major claims to proceed in a lawsuit filed by Cayman Islands-based Greenlight Reinsurance Ltd. against managing general agent Appalachian Underwriters Inc. and parent Insurance Services Group. But Judge Paul Oetken of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed other minor claims in the suit, including an accounting claim that would allow Greenlight to inspect MGA’s financial books and records.
