OSHA Issues $287K Fine After Factory Worker Fractures Hand

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited a New York manufacturer for alleged safety violations after a worker fractured his hand at the company’s plant in Hauppauge. U.S. Nonwoven Corp., which makes fabric for home and personal care, faces $287,212 in penalties in connection with the citations, issued July 16. The company has 15 business days to contest the citations.
