An injured-worker advocacy group is asking the California Office of Administrative Law to negate Division of Workers’ Compensation guidance that advised e-form filers to use a newer version of Microsoft’s operating system to access the state's Electronic Adjudication Management System.
In a petition sent last week to the OAL’s Compliance Unit, a representative from Los Angeles-based Voters Injured at Work accused DWC officials of passing “underground regulation” by announcing that EAMS would no longer work on older Microsoft Windows systems beginning Aug. 1.
